Plane simulator software games are available on the internet for the use of those who would like to try out different scenarios when planning a flight. This simulator gives them a chance to control the kind of environment they want to be tried against so that when they are in a real situation in a real plan the scenario will be familiar enough that they can work their way without any difficulties.

Several software companies have produced software products that have this as a main goal—others have even tried creating driving simulators for driving lessons that can also be hazardous if tried freely for real.

Plane simulator is created using blade element theory, which enables the simulations to mimic the movements of the plane by computing the drag coefficient and other factors that affect the performance and direction of the plane considering various circumstances. These are helpful when trying out a new environment which may not be favorable for test drives.

There are limitations to the use of simulators. The major consideration to be remembered is that the plane simulator can give the flight characteristics of the simulated plane but cannot give how they would perform in hostile territories. This does not make simulators helpful when it comes to designing new planes, whose performance can only be gauged when they have been made and tested.

These simulators can only work on available data and cannot be made to describe the performance of unpredictable models and untried settings. As the name itself suggests, simulators can only simulate what is expected to happen in the real world provided that an instance of the event have been studied before and that there are enough factors before they can be tried. In the event that the design of new planes is to be considered, a different set of software programs is best recommended.
